Florence Day 21!

Today, because we knew that Giovanni, our landlord, would be coming, we cleaned up the apartment and started sorting through all our goodies. Also, we started packing. (Yes, boo hoo, whimper whimper, packing.) We cannot believe that it's all coming to an end and in Cindy's words, she's going to turn into a pumpkin again. Anyhow, back to business. After Giovanni came to check us out, we folded all of our clothes and packed it away. Soon after, we got ready to go to our last dinner out in Firenze.

We originally planned on eating across the street because it was supposedly going to rain, but since it was a beautiful day, we went to Piazza della Signoria and ate al fresco, amongst our new friends, David, Perseus, Sabine and Vecchio. (These are all staues and buildings) We had a great dinner and some music thanks to a street performer who was actually very good.

After hanging around the Signoria for a while, we headed to Piazza della Repubblica and had some gelato at Il Festival del Mondo. We walked around and gawked at the fake or stolen Louis Vuitton, Prada and Gucci bags for 10 euro. (Cindy is still not convinced, there's always tomorrow) We cannot believe that we have to leave what Cindy called "our playground". We know that one day we will come back. The six weeks that we have spent together will last in our memories for a lifetime. Undoubtedly, not everyone gets to see what we have seen and we hope that our blog has allowed everyone who is interested to experience life as a Florentine resident.

We have one more day in our beautiful city and we plan on making the most of it.
